My Fantastic Saturday

Weekends are indeed for relaxing. Here's what I've been up to. I went up to London yesterday 8th October for three things and I am glad that I accomplished all I set out to do. I have this satisfaction and fulfillment about it all.

Now, if you live in London, you would know that there are different zones and getting from one end to another could be something else, especially if you don't know your way around.

So I set off from Reading on the 10:27 train to London Paddington. The train was filled to the brim. I was lucky enough to get a seat on the train. The train was more like a "molue" as people stood on the aisles and it just reminded me of my days in Lagos. It was a 30 minutes journey anyway.

I got off at Paddington, took the underground trains to London Euston for a conference on "how to make more money". I 'showed' my face, registered, got the materials and 'ran off'. I took the trains from London Euston to Peckham Rye and went to meet my friend and hairdresser to transform me from a red haired Nigerian lady to a 'Donna Summer' look a like. It was a new style for me, but I wanted something different from my usual hairstyles, and who else to transform me than "Tessy". We had an appointment for 11:00 and I finally got to her at 12:50 or thereabouts. I was finally transformed at 17:15 and got the train to The O2 Center at Greenwich to meet up with my friends to cap the day.

I got to The O2 Center, met up with my friends at the Water Margin restaurant. We had loads of fun and laughter. I am always happy hanging out with Tani and Bunmi, great friends and we've been together for over 30 years. We had fun. We caught up with gists and that's what friends and friendships are for. We took loads of pictures, and me, I am the "picturnista"- I love pictures and love posing and taking them. I took over 50 pictures and videos. This is just me in my normal and natural environment.

I finally got home to Reading at 22:30. I was exhausted but fulfilled. I slept off and woke up this morning 2 hours after my alarm had sounded. Hahahaha.... It's Sunday... time for some coffee and cream......
